Claude Setup

Connect Wellpipe to Claude for native MCP (Model Context Protocol) support. This gives Claude direct access to 18 health data tools and works on Claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and the Claude mobile app.

Prerequisites​

  • A Wellpipe account with a connected health provider
  • Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan (required for connectors)
  • Claude Desktop (optional, for desktop use)

Connect via OAuth​

The connector is configured on Claude.ai and syncs automatically to Claude Desktop and the Claude mobile app. You only need to set it up once.

Step 1: Add the Connector​

  1. Go to Claude.ai → Settings → Connectors
  2. Click Add custom connector
  3. Enter the MCP server URL: 
    https://wellpipe.io/api/mcp/oauth
  4. Click Connect

Step 2: Authorize Wellpipe​

You'll be redirected to sign in and authorize Wellpipe to connect with Claude.

Step 3: Start Chatting​

That's it! The connector syncs to Claude Desktop and the mobile app automatically. Just ask Claude about your health data:

"How did I sleep last night?"

"What's my recovery score today?"

"Show me my workout trends this month"

Claude will automatically use the appropriate Wellpipe tools to fetch and analyze your data.

Troubleshooting​

Connector Not Syncing​

  1. Make sure you're signed into the same Claude account on all devices
  2. For Claude Desktop: completely quit and restart (Cmd+Q on Mac, or right-click system tray on Windows)
  3. For Claude mobile: force quit and reopen the app

"No data available" Responses​

  1. Verify your health provider is connected in the Wellpipe dashboard
  2. Check that your provider has recent data (WHOOP syncs after you wake up)

Rate Limit Errors​

If you're hitting rate limits:

  1. Check your usage in the Wellpipe dashboard
  2. Consider upgrading to Pro for higher limits
