Connect Your WHOOP

Connecting WHOOP takes about 30 seconds.

Prerequisites

  • An active WHOOP membership
  • Your WHOOP account credentials

Step 1: Click Connect

In your Wellpipe dashboard, find the WHOOP card and click Connect.

Step 2: Authorize on WHOOP

You'll be redirected to WHOOP's authorization page. Review the permissions and click Authorize.

What Permissions Are Requested?

Wellpipe only requests read access. We cannot modify any data in your WHOOP account.

Step 3: Confirmation

After authorizing, you'll be redirected back to your Wellpipe dashboard. The WHOOP card will now show:

  • Connected status
  • Your WHOOP user ID
  • Token expiry date

Data Sync

Once connected, your AI assistant can access:

  • Historical data going back to when you started using WHOOP
  • New data as soon as WHOOP processes it (usually within minutes)
Data Freshness

WHOOP typically processes sleep and recovery data within 15-30 minutes of waking up. Workouts appear immediately after you end them.

Troubleshooting

Authorization Failed

If the authorization fails:

  1. Make sure you're logged into the correct WHOOP account
  2. Clear your browser cookies and try again
  3. Try using an incognito/private browser window

Connection Expired

WHOOP tokens expire after 7 days. When this happens:

  1. Return to your Wellpipe dashboard
  2. Click Reconnect on the WHOOP card
  3. Authorize again on WHOOP

We're working on automatic token refresh to eliminate this step.

Wrong Account

If you connected the wrong WHOOP account:

  1. Click Disconnect in your Wellpipe dashboard
  2. Log out of WHOOP in your browser
  3. Click Connect again and log into the correct account
